Translation: 143 to go

For all of you who are interested in the progress with the French port of Serpent Isle, here are the latest news:

We have 143 files left to do. There were 1237 total (including those with no text to translate).

The team has now expanded to 8 members. This should ease our work. There is always room for newcomers. You must MASTER English and French to be part of the team, otherwise our correcting translator will turn mad!

We will eventually run through a bug tracking regarding the translation. The most people to play SI-french, the better. I will post again (if the Exult team allows me to) to inform you of the need of beta testers/bug trackers.

Our web host dumped us because of too high traffic. Please use http://sf.net/projects/si-french to retrieve the patch instead. We now use ifrance to host our site and files so please bear with us the ads.

Thanks for your support,
Artaxerxes

Cool, great work!

Btw, why don't you use SF's webspace? It's free, no ads, and there should be plenty of space.

thx Willem and Jeff for the comments.

We don't use sf as a web host since our webmaster (KlownKiller) uses Dreamweaver to make the site and this prog probably cannot deal with the secure channel to upload files. If someone could contact KK if you know how to do it, I think we would gladly move to SF for web hosting.

This is funny. Just yesterday - merely hours before you posted - I visited your website to see how far you progressed.

As for the Website, I guess that you can'T do it directly with Dreamweaver but saving the website on hard disk and then uploading it to your sf webspage should be no problem. Though you first have to understand how to use ssh but then it's quite easy and I'd recommend using the sf site...

I am personnally fine with SSH and fairly ok with CVS.
If it was in my hands, I would make the page using a text editor ! :)
But overall, there are no problems with ifrance besides the ads. So I guess we'll live with it.
