Hey there --

Tired installing the RC2 release for OS X. When I start up the new version, the icon appears in the Dock for a split second, then disappears without an error message.

I am upgrading from RC1, I copied over my savegame files and the STATIC folder.

Sounds like the bug that plagued previous OSX releases has been reintroduced. This one kept us from having a current OSX build for a long time. Hope that it doesn't cause as much trouble to fix, this time.

Now that I've tried it, it seems to work fine for me. And it sounds better than ever! Now, if only I could compile those newer sound effects into a sound file...

For the record, Fingolfin has fixed this.
