Every time I run the Exult RC2 using BG under WinXP Pro it freezes everything up.

It might spontaneously reboot after that or roll over to a BSOD blaming NV4 (nvidia disp driver something-or-other).

Sometimes it freezes only right after or while the 1st U7 screen is loading or after I change setup options and it freezes while redrawing main menu.

My video card is a RIVA TNT2 Model 64 using the default driver that shipped with WinXP (5.1.2001.0), set at 800x600@32bpp.

I'm downloading the latest NVidia Detonator drivers right now(v29.42), I sure hope that makes a difference.

*nod* That certainly _sounds_ like the problem. You may wish to hit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com too and update all the other drivers for XP, as well as grab the security patches. *grin*

Updating the drivers completely resolved the problem.
