Since you now probably know more about the program code than anyone, I was
wondering if you could finally answer a long-standing question;
how much damage does the Black Sword do?

Just pulled it up in ExultStudio:

Damage = 25.

I just checked it myself. Yes, in BG that's true. But in SI, it only does 9 damage.
They also weakened the Juggernaut Hammer.

In SI it is weaker because Accordian (whatever the demon's name is) is weaker on Serpent Isle than in Britannia. Also, the sword's power over him is weaker. Accordian is unable (or is it unwilling) to use his powers for the Avatar in SI.

Say, you can always go into ExultStudio and set it back to 25:-)

Might have to do some usecode hax0ring to change Arcadian's mind about the avatar. I'll see what I can do in my free time.

You might not be able to, if that studio bug exists in the "x,y" settings it might not let you change the damage either...

I remember that people on the newsgroup used to report a difference in the performance of the Black Sword in SI, depending on whether the Flux Analyzer had been used on it yet. Specifically, that it became a fairly strong weapon again following its repair. This could have just been their perception, but perhaps someone could check on it?

The x,y bug is, I think, fixed as of last night. The damage setting has been working all along.
