Missing Mystery Music in U7BG

In U7BG, there was a "mystery music" theme that would play when you encountered certain puzzles, such as the "Penumbra's house" puzzle in Moonglow. Then, as I recall (no DOS machine set up right now) they would not play anymore in the area once the puzzle was solved.
This theme does not play at all in Exult on my system (0.99R2, Linux). Any suggestions?

well, that's what i experienced, too, although i'm using
a win98$e machine.
another point is that i don't get the
"DOOM DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DOOM DA DA..."-theme
after i successfully escape hostile monsters. that used
to work in the original as well.
(...it's hard to tell people of musical patterns only with
the help of alphanumeric letters...)
...and i'm sure it's _really_ hard to work on a project,
when alpha-/beta-/gamma-users keep on complaining
and complaining and complaining...
hehe...

Speaking of people complaining, I might add that Exult is bloody fantastic!
It is a masterpiece! It's so great that I can't get anything done at home.

Where you run from the hostile monsters? It's like, wheerreeo wheerreeo wheereeo wheereeo
And when you kill the monster its, da-da-dadada da!
Then Stones is like, dum da da dum dadadum, da na na da, da dum da dum dadadum, da na na na
