Scalers a bit OT

Well I have guessed that some work like SSAA. They render the picture at a very high resolution and downsample it to a lower one and get rid of a lot of low-res trash. Are there any scalers like 2xsai but instead of rendering at 2x res but at a 4x-16x scaler?
