Ok ever since my hard drive busted a couple months ago i never really got to installing exult till today. i installed v0.99 and whenever i go in combat mode in serpent isle the Avatar atacks his companions! first dupre then shamino, i dony know about Iolo i havent gt to him yet, and sometimes he even kills HIMSELF even when not in combat.i thought maybe it was just the version so i installed v0.98 and it didnt fix anything. Why is Exult screwy, will the avatar ever be virtuous again?

Could you submit a bug report with your savegame before going into combat. It's obviously a bug.

how would i go about that?

ive done further research and i found out it was because i killed a pikeman. i went to the armour store in monitor so i can swipe a few supplies and when i killed the pikeman the avatar went for shamino for no aparant reason

Before posting, make sure you've read the FAQ and searched the message board for previous discussions. When reporting problems/bugs, please include details about your setup (Exult version, OS, sound and video cards).

Definitely a bug. You're description is probably enough for a bug report, assuming I can duplicate what you did and get the problem.

My guess is that the Avatar's or companions' alignments are getting set to something other than friendly.

all you have to do is steal something. i tried v0.99 and 98 and they both have that bug. i doubt its because of my video card or OS but just in case i have an ATI Radeon 7500 64mb and windows XP

Darn... I just tried it, but the bug didn't happen. But I only have the 1.1x version at the moment.

i tried to redo it but now it doesnt seem to work anymore. strange.

oh and i came a bit later and standaar is dead. is there any way to revive him?
