Hello again!

I have the following problem:

I have installed the Exult Version 1.2 and played Ultima 7 for several days until now. So I'm very far in solving the game.
But now I want to use the Keyring mod, but it does only work with the latest Exult (Version 1.4).
Is there any chance to get my savegames out of 1.2 to 1.4 without having problems?
Another Question: Do you recommend to do this? Because I could read in the Download section that 1.4 is unstable. What does this mean actually?

First off, 1.2 savegames do work in Exult 1.4 (just don't try it the other way round).
BUT there might be some fixes in 1.4 that won't be fixed in a 1.2 savegame (meaning for such a fix you'd need a new 1.4 game). Also I have no idea if the keyring mod would work with a 1.2 game.

Unstable: It's just meant to express that development of 1.4 is still in progress and there might, at times, be some things in it that will your game go bust. At the moment it seems safe, though

So wich files do I have to make a copy of when I like to play my 1.2 Savegame in 1.4?

you can just install Exult 1.4 on top of 1.2, then open your existing savegames, play on from that but then make sure you save new savegames with a different name. This way your old savegames are kept compatible with 1.2 and if you want to go back to Exult 1.2 just don't use the savegames saved with 1.4.

You probably know or guessed this, but just to to be sure: you can't to play the Keyring mod with an old savegame, you have to start a new one. The mod makes changes to the map which simply won't be there unless you start a new game.
