Hi again!
Now I want to install the Keyring mod. I have already installed the Exult 1.4 (btw: do I need other stuff or is 1.4 enough). When I unzip the Kexring.zip, there is 1 file and 1 folder.
Where do I have to put these 2 things in?? In the data folder of Exult or in the install folder of U7?? Or do I only something out of the folder, which comes with the zip file (there are other folders in it)???

I think the readme says to put it in the 'mods' folder of the game install. My fresh install of Exult 1.4 didn't have one, so I just created one and put the contents of the zip file there. Worked like a charm

Can you give me a concrete description of this sequence?
Where do I have to make a "mod"-folder?
Do I have to write anything into the "exult.cfg"??
If yes, where do I have to write what??

you shouldn't have to change exult.cfg - I didn't have to.
for example, I installed Exult to its default location, then you have to install Ultima to a directory as well, right? So you create the "mods" folder in *that* directory. C:/ultima7/mods for example. This is the default location for mods, so you shouldn't need to change the config file.

An example from my computer:
Exult is installed in C:\Ultima7
BG is installed in C:\Ultima7\Blackgate
The mods folder for the Keyring mod is at C:\Ultima7\Blackgate\mods
