a cool undocumented feature

at least, I've never heard of it. I've found it possible in both BG and SI to arm party members with firebolts. In BG, after killing the Hydra, searching the body revealed several containers inside each other, the most important one being a troll with the firebolt object inside. I gave the troll to Spark, took away all his weapons, then started combat. Spark somehow managed to pull the firebolt out of the troll. All of a sudden, he had an unlimited long range weapon doing quite a bit of damage. In SI, after the banes release, moonshade bodies often carry firebolts and things of that nature in bags.

Just out of curiosity, would this be considered cheating? Also, is this somthing that will be taken out of further relases of Exult?

Heh. Pretty funny. But it is a bug in Exult, so it might eventually get fixed.

They did carry those items around in the original, too, and you could obtain them via the use of Vibrate or the item drop command, and then using hackmover to pick them up.

This could net you a number of really nasty unlimited spell effects, including Mind Blast/Death Bolt.

I suppose it was cheating for the creatures themselves to have the spells as well.

In a way, yes. This is the way U7 handles NPCs casting spells.
