First of all, thank you so very much Exult team!!! Until two days ago I had never been on a computer that allowed me to play SI, and my BG ran at like double speed for some reason...I love finally being able to enjoy them on Windows!

Also, Im such a huge dork when I play BG...the first times I played it I had never seen a game like it (and I guess I still havent) and I would pick up all the fascinating items. Then later I decided I needed someplace to put them so I, ahem, dealt with the Baker in Paws and confiscated his house and turned it into an emporium of sorts...and then to me the whole object of the game became to fill my house with more and more interesting items...feel free to mock me now for essentially playing house with myself

I did something close to that. I always took the yew wisp house. I had a library, weapon storage, bedroom, food storage etc, etc. It was my base I guess. I also made a drawbridge into my home. Had lots of cool stuff like that.

Since Owen the Shipwright of Minoc decides to kill himself anyway, I just took ownership of his house and shop. I realized this was a mistake when Shamino became trapped and suffocated under 200 copies of "THIS OLDE SHIP - by Owen of Minoc".

As for being the biggest dork, I may have more of a claim to that title: When I first played U7, I had only played Sierra 'adventure' games. I thought this was something similar, and that the whole game was going to be a murder mystery taking place entirely in Trinsic.

I always used the conspirators' keep hidden in the Serpent's Spine Mountains. Not only does is have an armoury, a bedroom, and a meeting hall, it has a teleporter room that can be used to take me all over Britannia.

And since I did a service to LB by eliminating a possible threat to his rule by killing the conspirators, I consider the fortress a just reward for my efforts.

I just took over Sentri's house after he joined the party. Nice, central location, plenty of space, and a lockable room.

Okay, so the floor was kinda crowded when we went to sleep, but that was half the fun.

Hey, it's got a stable with the world's only talking horse that gives clues to previous games.

Just got to clean up the skeletons, replace the door, and plant a nice garden amongst the crucified corpses. Add a few barrels and crates, maybe a monster grog keg, and we have the ultimate chick pulling pad.

Actually, I think trying to reverse-engineer the game in the first place was fairly foolish!

Speaking of dwellings, I used to grab the lil' isle off the southern tip of Verity Isle ( Moonglow ). I roamed the world on the magic carpet, collected every single wooden plank/beam/2by4 I could find and built a house around the ship wreckage. Building a roof was so time consuming, stacking all the barrels placing the planks, removing the barrels etc..

I used to make my "home" inside a little secret cave beneath the mountains of a very little island ( with sheeps ) to the north of Jhelom. There I put some barrels to keep an excesive amount of money, food and my collection of magic weapons. I had a lockable chest too to keep very important items and I always carried with me the key to open it. In my madness I put some invisible thistle thorns at the gate of the cave. Daisy... Daisy... A while back, I builtup most of the desert near Vesper. I used those red and blue curtains as walls. I then took (obviously with hack mover) fencing materials and built a farm with all the animals. Perhaps it was more of a zoo because of the monsters being there. It had the mining equipment to mine minerals from the desert. I basicly made a whole city. Its took bad though, that chunk decided to get corrupt because of the amount of junk there and I could never see it again.
