exult from the linux console

Hey, I was trying to run the 1.1 CVS version of Exult with DirectFB + GGI + SDL. Exult runs the menus properly. However, when select journey onward, I get the blue rain drops, the multi-colored, and it then segfaults, reporting that it can't bind a socket, occurring right after the loading of the NPCs. Under X (which runs perfectly, mind you), binding port / socket 21 comes right after loading of the NPCs.

I imagine that you know what is causing this and that you already have a work around for it in one of the ports. Is there anything in particular that I can do to make it work properly from the console, or do I need to check my configuration / compilation more throughly?

I think you need to compile Exult without Exult Studio support (configure).
