Shamino disappearing (Bug?) (BG)

Hi there!

I'm not sure wether this is a bug or not, since I don't know the story line of Black Gate.

I've just started the game, gone to Britain, and met Shamino and added him to my party. Then after walking around in the castle, he suddenly disappeared.

Is this a bug, or is it a feature?
If it is a bug, how can I fix it?

I'm using 1.0 rpm precompiled binary.

Shamino was my party member, now he is it no more. I don't see him moving around, and his head is not in the lower left, where the others are.

You could try going into the cheat menu and selecting him in the NPC list. I think he is NPC 3. That way you can see where he is on the map. If the coordinates are high (>4000) then the NPC has been deleted, otherwise you can just teleport to him with the Teleport option and ask him to join again.

Yep, he's outside 4000x4000. His health is -50 and his current activity is following the Avatar.

However I cannot teleport him to me, because the teleport shortcut is ~, and I'm using a German keyboard layout, in which the ~ character is typed by pressing Shift+#. But this combination does not work.

You can't teleport to him anyway when he's at 4095x4095. Kind of weird though. Do you remember anything weird happening when he disappeared?

No, I just walked out of LB's castle, and just after that he was gone.

he might have gone into attack mode and attacked those things outside of LB's castle and died there...
