I was hoping that the .ogg files would solve the problem of playing
sound under redhat 8.0 without the alsa sound drivers on a computer
with a soundblaster live audio card. Is this true? If so, do I need to
tell the game where the music files are, i.e. in my .exult.cfg file.
I downloaded and installed exult 1.1 and the ogg files. I have changed
my music preference to digital music and I placed the decompressed
ogg files in
/usr/local/share/exult/data/music
my Ultima 7 STATIC files are in
/usr/local/share/exult/data/u7
my path for BG is
/usr/local/share/exult/data/u7
Game_dat path
/usr/local/share/exult/data/

Re: Sound in exult 1.1 w/SB LIVE
now you only have to set conversion to digital music and it should be okay.

Re: Sound in exult 1.1 w/SB LIVE
I think that should be:
ogg files in
/usr/local/share/exult/music
shouldn't it? since the data dir is /usr/local/share/exult
