Mysteries in BG...

Post by Dino3 »

There are some things I can't understand...

I've only remembered one though...

What does the key in the chest at the Guardian's X open?

I'm collecting a list of mysteries for when I'll be writing a Guide for Ultima 7, so if you know any other mysteries, spill 'em! ;)

I'm pretty sure that question was already asked here once or twice... Sorry, can't remember the answer though

Alright, no problem. I might run a search to find the answer, as I will be doing to find past discoveries and such things. :)

A wild random idea I had sometime in the past: create a database of all items in the games.

This way you could run all kinds of SQL queries on it.

SELECT * FROM objects WHERE shape = (door) OR shape = (chest) AND quality = (key quality);

Done :-)

I'll run some of these key/door queries through it later tonight :-)

That key opens the chest in the dining hall of Serpent's Hold. (It contains some reagents)

neat idea would be to have that database accessible through our webpage :-)

No it wouldn't :-)

I might put up an SQL dump of the database sometime when I polish it a bit further. (I want to put things like the shape info data into the DB too, while I'm at it)

Cool... I've always wanted to make some sort of collection of where to find magical items etc. :)

Thanks for the answer too btw

Yeah, that key opens the chest in Serpent's Hold. Another key I haven't been able to find a use for is the red/blue one in Gregor's house in Minoc. I haven't had too much time to do some in depth looking, but one day, I will figure it out.....
