Another SI bug?
Think I've discovered another bug in SI.
Moonshade, Im talking to Torisso and he agrees to tell me how to trap souls in exchange for the Philanders Friend, which I have. But he will never acknowledge that I have the Friend, and I never have the option to give it to him.
I have already freed the bloke trapped as a statue so that isnt the problem, so I think this must be a bug (unless Ive forgotten something?).

This might be a Usecode bug. I think the same happened to me. But after saying 'Bye' and starting a new conversation, he saw that I had it.

One thing you might want to change here - don't allow the player to give him the Philanderer's Friend until Fedabiblio has been depetrified.
Unfortunately, in the origianl SI, it was possible to do this, which obviously would cause a plot problem when you needed to get the scroll from Fedabiblio.

IIRC, you could use the 'vibrate' spell on Torisso and get the wand back, to depetrify Fedabiblio. That's what I did.

Yes, that was a solution, but generally only to someone who knew that it'd work. It'd still be better if people didn't get stuck in the position of having to do it to start with.

as it is a regular spell you should know how to use it IMO.

Flag 0x23D (573 decimal) is used to control the 'Magic Wand' option when talking to Torrissio.
This should be set when picking up the Philanderer's Friend from the vampire's treasure room. (I just tried from a new game, and it is indeed set when I pick it up)
To just work-around the problem for now, use the cheat menu to manually set this flag:

Torrissio should then give the 'magic wand' option.

Another buggy place.
Why not the usecode for Torrissio does the check for the wand in Avatar's inventory using the inventory functions? Why these Eggs?
One such Egg (with Serpent Staff) caused the Xenka "sacrifice" bug.
