I don't quite get what you mean by that.
1. all the files are in the /data/music dir. The ones for BG need no explaining I guess but SI uses those for BG as well.
2. Real? The current music pack is how the music was intended to sound. For different choises you have the FM-Synth (that's how it sounded with a Sound Blaster when the game got released) or midi which sounds always different depending on the soundfont used (on an SB Live! card (including Audigiy)).

Does the Augidy come with a 256meg sound font or something?

No you must download some at hammesoundfont
or modify one like I have done myself
