Very sorry if this was discussed before. Heard it but every time was never addressed or resolved. Just mentioned.
Simple: When I make changes to the map with Exult studio it asked me to save all files. But this screws up the starting point. (Where Avatar is in new game)
Having a nice custom hideout is nice but not if the game can't start right.
I copied each new file generated, one at a time, and removed them one at a time.
Each time starting a new game and when it finally started normally (SI at the ship arrival), some select stuff I made is gone. So far looks as if what I added/edited and the Avatars starting point requires all new files generated by exult studio.
Question: Is there a way to make changes to the map, that is replacing chunks and adding shape items, and save it WITHOUT RUINING THE STARTING POINT OF THE GAME?!!
I have found ZERO, NADA, Zilch documentation on the starting point of u7 world editing. And that is very baffling. Since I'm sure EVERYONE has encountered this problem.
Thank you and team for a great program continuing the U7 enjoyment.

Start Exult in edit mode (--edit) and start a new game (or you might have to start a new game first, don't save, quit and restart with "exult --edit --nomenu --game(bg,si,ss,fov). And during editing don't exit edit mode.

Could the ES installer add the --edit shortcut to the Start Menu if it doesn't already?
Re: E-Studio, Save All ruins starting point?
