And DRAGON SLAYER SWORD!

One handed, large ,...
But it`s not strong....

You might as well ask why there are weapons in D&D like maces +1 against Orcs. It's simply been part of the historical genre of fantasy fighting that weapons could have a special bonus against certain kinds of creatures.

no boss monster, just good for killing dragons, at least in the original, don't know if it also works this way in Exult.
As to why do something like that, please contact varios game designers. I'm sure they will be happy to tell you why it is fun to make weapons that are good against specific monsters.
