After reading through the documentation and searching the forums, I have found nothing on using alternative scalers. I was wondering, is it possible to get Exult to work with other scalers, such as hq3x or 4x? I've grown quite fond of this scaler and would love to see it implemented. Is there currently a method of doing this, or are the scalers hardcoded into the Exult engine? If so, is there a method of patching the cource code to enable these other scalers?
Thanks,
dwn

Re: Alternative Scalers
The non-ASM versions of hq3x and 4x are extremely slow. I don't know if that is one of the reasons it has not been implemented

Re: Alternative Scalers
Our scalers are all hard-coded. Maybe if there's a library of these things with a common interface, we could use it instead.
Re: Alternative Scalers
It's time for SDL_scalers
Re: Alternative Scalers
Does this exist or is that made up from you? (if it doesn't exist, it would be a worthwhile project in the light of how many projects use scalers)

Sorry, I forgot to put a smiley there. No it doesn't exist, but it would be great if it did.
