I never saw this in the FAQ so I decided to post it.
In SI, near the city of beuty there is an abandoned pikemen outpost with goblins.
Well anyway I clear out the goblins and go off the screen and comeback to see the pike men inside and outside patroling acting normal but when I go inside the place and climb up the stairs there is a pike man sleeping and goblins near him.
I clear them out move a few screens and only to see new ones there.
Numbers of goblins always vary.

Yep. There's an egg there that keeps respawning them. I haven't figured out yet how the original keeps that from happening.

You can't change the eggs from within the game?
It would seem it'd be simple to either set its probablity to 0 or to just plain remove it after a certain event, but of course I know nothing about usecode / how either end worked so :/

Yeah, it seems to be some sort of bug or something that doesn't always recognize when the goblins are all gone. In fact, it seems like I once got the pikemen back BEFORE clearing out all the goblins.... there were a couple on the top floor standing guard with the pikemen, if I remember correctly...

Actually, I think that bug existed in the original game...
