17-02-03 is translated as the 17th of febuary 2003.

Makes a helluva lot more sense than 02-17-03 which would be directly said as febuary the 17th 2003. I mean, WTF? Guess it's the same as when they say blow instead of suck.

Then we have those annoying things like 02-03-03. Does it mean 2nd/march or does it mean feb/3rd? Yes, very annoying.

And yep, a pound .92 for spam sounds about right when I walk into woolworths and see the same thing here for $4.xx. Damn expensive.

It could mean that the pricing hasn't changed since then. The expiry date should be on the can and not on the pricing tag on the shelves.

Yes, usually when you see the date on the price on the shelf, that means that is when the price was set. Also, if something is on special, you'll find a start and end date for how long the special price is, so you know if you can wait a few days before picking it up or not. Well, that's how it works here anyway.

I don't think they'd leave a can of spam on their shelves for over a year. Stocktake is there for a reason.

Really, the logical date format should be yy/mm/dd

But I also grew up in a country where you write address as: Province, City, District, Street, Number, Apt. The zip code goes somewhere else on the envelope.

Belial: As I wrote in the subject "Very OT" OT is used in forums and most other online places as "off topic". You are quite correct that this spam has not much to do with Exult only that as Dr.Code just mentioned our mailing list got bombarded with spam (and I don't mean the canned one ).
