exult + jmsfx.xlt

hi, I just downloaded, compiled and installed the new Exult.. and when I tried it out with black gate, everything is running nicely. then I tried to put the sound effects on, so I downloaded jmsfx.xlt, and unzipped it to my data directory. then I made the changes to configuration file. but, sounds are still gone! background music is playing normally, but no sounds.

at the startup menu I see the "sound" logo with red cross over it, so that means what, file is corrupted, or not found? I copied other .flx files to data directory just to see, and changed the configuration again to use exult.flx.. then the no-sound-icon was gone, so it seems to find the file.. but of course no sounds.. some errors on console (sfx 82 not found..)

so, what have I done wrong here? why doesn't exult regocnize the jmsflx.xlt file? I tried renaming it and everything..

First of all, are you sure you are using the proper extension in the config file? (.flx)

Sound logo with red cross means file not found.

If you put jmsfx.flx in the same dir as exult.flx, exult_bg.flx and exult_si.flx, and change the config file entry to "jmsfx.flx", it should Just Work(tm).
