Long time since I last checked this thread - more than 3 years it seems!

First things first: the link in the first post of this thread still works, and takes you to the latest version of Q&I that I released. That link again is:

This version included bugfixes and several new interactions beyond those in the 0.5beta that's available from the Ultima Reconstruction site.

However, I cannot guarantee that all parts of the mod still work in the latest snapshots of Exult 1.4 - the mod was originally made for 2005 snapshots and so much has been done since.

Last but not least, I wouldn't mind picking this up again and working on some of the planned stuff I mentioned in the readme; but I now live in Macland, and there are no Exult builds for Mac beyond 1.2 (which is too outdated for any kind of modding.) Which is also why I can't confirm that this mod will still work anymore.

Could someone please re-upload the version 0.5beta? The download in The Reconstruction is down, and the 0.6beta2 version doesn't work on neither Exult 1.2 nor the last snapshot.

0.5 will also not work on the latest snapshot. This is because a lot has been changed since '05 and this patch would need modifying to work again.

ALSO no patch will work with Exult 1.2. The release does not allow patching at all, AFAIK.

I have the Q&I mod and the latest snapshot, and some of it does seem to work. The fun bits like the sheep shearing and butter churning work fine. FoV is hosed, though. Seems the sword-forging activity somehow breaks the water trough, so that when you try to cool the sword in it, it gives you a "won't fit" error.

I somehow got around this by temporarily deleting the path to the Q&I folder in exult.cfg, restarting the game, finishing FoV then putting the path back into exult.cfg.

All of the new items are still there, I completed the Camille quest with no problems and am currently working on the Rune of Honor quest. So far I've got as far as Minoc without any problems.

A pity Alun isn't doing more modding. I really enjoyed this mod.

The version of the Q&I mod that TFL implements as part of it should work, though I've not tested the FOV parts yet, and they may need fixing.

I could probably separate out the Q&I bits from TFL and offer an "unofficial" sort of patch release, if there was a demand for that, but I'd want to make sure things work properly first.
