"Richard Garriott, lead designer of the now-defunct NCSoft game Tabula Rasa, is suing former employer NCSoft to the tune of $24,000,000. GamePolitics has details on the legal filings, but contrary to official postings from 'General British' himself, it appears this split wasn't exactly amicable."
Apparently he's claiming that the letter he wrote resigning from NCsoft to pursue "other interests" was forged while he was in space so that NCSoft wouldn't have to pay out stock dividends to him, which if they'd just fired him they would have.
That sounds like a made for TV legal thriller, or maybe an episode of Law & Order.

It sounds entirely probably, given NCSofts history - it was something I wondered when Garriot first got involved, why he would bother with people who have that murky a history, that it couldn't end well - and, lo and behold... it didn't.
