"Sticky" Messages

Post by Karlos »

Is there any way with the Phorum software to have certain messages always be at the top of the topic list? I think it would be handy to have a couple of persistant messages if this is possible.

An example of a useful persistant message would be the proper bug-reporting procedure, including how to attach a savegame successfully to a bug report.

I've considered this too. However, phorum's architecture doesn't seem to easily allow this. I'll have to look around their homepage to see if anyone has already implemented this sometime...

Hmm, a quick search on their support forum leads be to believe it's not possible after all:

Can't you just change the creation date to like, sometime fifteen years
in the future or something?

Well, yes, but that would be abusing that field. A cleaner way would be to add a flag of some kind.

Or time travel.
It would be the simplest way.

Spark's ass never dies, it just fades away.

Until it lights up again.
