Black screen in full screen under XP

When i switch in full screen, Exult switch in "black screen" ... well, nothing on screen ... nothing visible ... all is black. But sounds still working !!!
I resolve this problem with the XP "Compatibility Option" (put it in "Windows 2000" mode")

That'S probably an error with SDL. Strangely that doesn't happen for me.

1.in what resolution are you running Exult, what scaler, what is the resolution of Windows, is your Desktop 16bit or 32bit...

2.what's your graphics card and are you SURE you are using the latest drivers?

These are information that we need to know if we want to have any chance of fixing it.

I had that problem!

Change your resolution to something your monitor can handle.
Then change it to Full Screen.

Use 640x480 in the video section. Full screen-same place.
That works best on most computers.

It has nothing to do with Windows XP.
Took me a while to figure that one out.

I think I even had it in the FAQ once, ages ago, or wanted to put it there but forgot it...
