SI Guardian/Serpents pictures?

Something I've noticed while playing SI... In the original version, when the Guardian and the two Serpents speak to you via the digitzed speech, there used to be a translucent picture of them that overlaid the screen. The effect is essentially identical to what you saw when the Guardian spoke if you played BG with speech turned off.

It's sort of a minor thing, but I always like to see the Guardian's muppet-like visage when he says "See how I reward those who FAIL me!!" Also, seeing the Guardian just that once and the order/chaos serpent (can't remember which) near the end is dramatic.

So where did they go? Any way to turn them back on in Exult? If not, can this be easily implemented? What the dilly?

Can you submit a bug report with a savegame from just before one of the speeches?
