Problems with Gwenno resurrection in SI

Hi! I discovered this site and I've been playing Serpent Isle like mad - I had forgotten how much I loved this game, and I'm so glad to find a way to play it again. I'm having a problem though and I was wondering if it was a known bug. I'm at the point where I need to have Gwenno resurrected by the Monks, but when I take her to them they always say "Your friend Gwenno is lost forever." I don't have the hourglass of fate - in fact, I never had it. It never showed up in my game although the monk said he was giving it to me. Could this be why they won't help me? And is there any way to get around the problem without having to start all over? Thanks for any help!

I don't think it has to do with the hourglass, but couldn't be sure without seeing a savegame. If you want, you could submit a bug with one.

Hum... this happened to me in the original game!

You have to drop Gwenno's corpse on the ground to have her resurrected. This is true for other party members as well. Not sure if this happened in the original, but I don't remember it...
