Few glitches I found this morning

Using Win 98.

1. When it rains, there is only lightning
2. Tall monsters like the cyclops like to poke their heads out of the top of mountains
3. If a monster is in a cave and you are outside of it, nowhere near an entrance your party will try to attack it when you go into combat mode.

3) Is bug-for-bug compatable with U7, IIRC.

1. Do you mean that you don't see the rain? That was working before.

correct...I don't see rain...just the lightning

4) and if you are in a cave and there is lots of lush vegetation outside, you'll see a square about 8x8 pixel of it.

I was going toward the phoenix and I was within a cave but was able to see several squares outside the cave where I saw the vegetation.

Mind you, my CVS tree is a bit old.

4. aehm, when you run at higher resolutions than the original game (320x200) glitches like that are common and will probably not be fixed.

1. face stats are interfering with rain.

4. Is is incidently the correct behaviour. The original game acts exactly the same, except the world was contructed so you would never see it.
