Hello everybody.
First I annouce my English is poor, so understand please.
I enjoyed Ultima8 Pagan very much.
Though many blame its too many actions and complexity of combining reagents to magics, I really liked the loneliness of Avatar who's in not knowing world.
And cute Avatar's can helmet.
That's really funny, heh.
I think Richard Gariott etc thought they like to make realistic game - Avatar can do anything like Persian Prince in the realistic world.
So parties do not exist and actions like Super Mario exhibit.
Umm... I also like the other series of Ultima, expecially Ultima6.
Anyway, I hope Exult version of Ultima8 will be made in recent days.

Well, there is a Ultima 8 viewer thing called Pentagram being coded by some of the Exult team that could possibly evolve into a fully blown game engine depending on whether people are able / can be bothered to do it.
After all, Exult started out as a map viewer of sorts all those years ago.
So I guess there a few courses of action:
- Offer to help with the coding.
- Learn programming and THEN offer to help with coding.
- Sit tight and hope for the best (and wait a few years)
At the moment I'm doing a combination of options 2 and 3...
