Here's something unusual... I noticed this in Paws, in the inn. Walk to the hall between the bedrooms. Open the door below you, the unlocked one. Double click the bed in that room to sleep. The Avatar magically appears in the bed above him/her, the bed in the locked room.
Another odd thing about this particular situation... Go ahead and sleep for 8 hours in that bed. You'll appear back outside the locked room. It will be dark, and everyone in the inn is sleepwalking, walking around with "Z,Z,Z..." over their heads.

Re: Bed Bug
I've never encountered any 'Bed Bugs', though I think eating cookies in bed....er...
In Ultima VII, the only problems I've had were the game either crashing, or the screen staying black.
Another is the Guardian's ugly translucent face staying on the screen, even after I've woken up and walked around. Didn't disappear until I went back to bed. Zzzz...
As for the townspeople going "Zzzzz.." on you, sounds like a time bug.
I read a few older posts about Ultima not recognizing the difference between AM and PM in some scheduals. (sp?)

Re: Bed Bug
Sounds like this rift in the ether has caused a time stop spell to hang and confuse everyone in the land of britannia.
Bed bugs? admit it, you were proud of your self that you came up with that for a topic name

Re: Bed Bug
Addition: I tried just this, Kate. (I had found my game. I rule!) and I just woke up in the same bed.. but Iolo didn't ask me how long I wish to have slept.
Also, when I entered the Inn/Tavern alot of weird weather effects occured, but when I left, nothing.
Strange.

Re: Bed Bug
Yeah, I thought the subject was cute. Sue me.
Anyway, I've had quite a few instances where I wasn't asked how long I wanted to sleep. I'm not too worried about the sleepwalking or sleeping in beds in locked rooms that you don't have a key for, it's just a nitpicky technicality.
I forgot to mention in my original post, I'm using v.1.0, in case you care.

*grins.*
I've also noticed that you're not asked how long you want to sleep for if you double-click on a bed while you and your followers are quite a distance from it. (Said instance occurs in SI)
Ciao!

This is controlled by usecode. It's probably checking if any party members are nearby.
