Can't start 1.1.x snaps

I tried with the 19th and the 23rd versions of 1.1.x. When I go to start, before the first menu, I get a box with can't find sdl_mixer.dll.

sdl.dll is there fine.

I tried to then make a copy of sdl.dll and renamed it to sdl_mixer.dll and it then threw up some other error about some other mixer thing that couldn't be found in sdl.dll.

I tried the 1.0.x 19th version and it works.

go to our download section and you will see a link right below the 1.1 snapshot named "Required file for Exult 1.1.x Snapshots".
Download that as well to get the sdl_mixer.dll
Enjoy the 1.1 snapshot.

Note: Read the docs and FAQ that come with the 1.1 snapshot as some things are different there from the 1.0.x snapsots...

MV:

1.1.0 now requires SDL_mixer as well as SDL. That's why you need both sdl.dll and sdl_mixer.dll.

The reason why you need SDL_mixer is that it load raw music in memory as well as playing Ogg files and contains a generic midi interface instead of the custom made one (by Colourless I believe).
