Hi. Wandering around Fawn after Iolo has had his little fit, I find the guards are still
in place. They march around with their demands for proper rank protocol ignoring the fact that the whole bloody town is dead. This seems a little strange and certainly takes away from the post-apocolyptic feel of the city.
I don't remember this in the original, but I don't have a DOS machine to play it on to check. Could this be a bug?
Guards in dead fawn?

Re: Guards in dead fawn?
No, they are supposed to be dead too. Only ruggs should be alive in the city.
Re: Guards in dead fawn?
Additional...If I go into Moonshade and take something from the home of a dead mage, the Automaton calls for the rangers and they arrest me and throw me in the abandoned jail....that can't be right.
Re: Guards in dead fawn?
well, the rangers are still supposed to live and looting houses after a disaster is a punishable offense, isn't it?

Re: Guards in dead fawn?
The rangers still live? I'm not sure if it is proper or not, that's while I am asking. It makes sense from a logical standpoint as the Automaton would still be doing his job long after the creators were gone. He does not know that I need the serpent teeth.
But the only ranger I can find is Ernesto. And the ranger that spawns when the automatons call is a generic ranger. But perhaps that is right.
I just tried to reproduce it and of course now I do anything in most houses with no problem: I dragged-and-dropped half of Columna's stuff onto the avatar right in front
of the automaton with not even a blip. But in the apothocary I got them to raise the alarm. Even in Stephano's house (who is still living) I could not get their dander up.
'Tis strange.
I don't know; it might be proper behavior. But after the guards wandering around in Fawn I'm not sure. I have not played SI since it was new so it is all rather fuzzy.

Re: Guards in dead fawn?
I seem to recall the Fawn guards still being around in the original, though I'm not sure if they were every time. It might simply be one of the many unfinished points.
