minor bug I've run accross in SI
when batlin opens the wall of lights and all that plot stuff is happening, just before it the members of my party said things like "I cannot move" however, they kept moving. when they were taken by the banes, they were all in a pile, so when they disappeared it was very hard to separate who's stuff was who's. is there any chance of this being fixed?

The "pile problem" I think is one I have run into as well. In the temple of logic, whn you
have to use the Gwani horn to break some ice blocks, a bunch of stuff falls out (bodies
included). But the item I needed (a book) fell "under" a wall and I had to use hackmover to get it; I was stumped and stuck in the game for a while with that one.
It goes back to the party walking and formation issues in Exult, which are not too big of deal in BG but sort of a pain in SI.
Before I enter a known possible Plot Zone I try to save when I remember; then I can try it again. In the "wall of lights" scene I ended up arranging the inventory of the characters into crates (I tend to carry a lot of junk with me) before I walk into the room.
If I ever get a chance to do fun programming, that is an Exult bug I would like to work on fixing. Of course, I could find time to do that instead of playing Ultima (which I have not had time for either lately...), but Ultima is an addiction.

I think this may be partially fixed in the 1.1.x branch
