Screenflickering

Hi Exult-team,

I dont know if this can be considered a bug, but after upgrading my system exult makes my screen flicker every now and then(approx. every 1-10 second.) The frame is then drawn wrong; it seems the screen is moved so the upper half is below the lower half or it looks like it is mirrored(though I am not sure) or it shifts from left to right. I tried a reinstall of both official 1.0 and 1.1 snapshot, used savegames and started a new game with and without scalers and all resoultions, fullscreen and window. Always the same problem.

This happends after upgrading my system to a Athlon XP 1900+ and installing WinXP with SP1.

I found nothing, neither in the FAQ nor in the bug-tracker; am I doomed?

I have the same problem. It is graphics card drivers.

If you are using ATI, then install drivers before the CAT series.

If you are using NVIDIA, then install the 30.82 WHQL drivers. (Anything before the 40.xx series).

Thanks, I will try that; then NVidia and ATI will have to work on their Exult-compability!
