(Totally OT!) Build a Search Function

Being software experts, could anyone of you tell me where I can get a free search software/script for my website?

e.g. in sf.net you type Exult and the search functions shows exult(duh!)

Can I even make a simple one? (Just for my website, not for the whole WWW)
