Sound in MacOS beta still choppy
Just thought I would let you know. I mean the OS9 version, of course. Haven't been able to try the X version yet. Though, I seem to remember that the sound in X was much better. Don't know why.
Re: Sound in MacOS beta still choppy
Are you running it in OS 9, or in Classic mode under OS X?
The OS X version I released doesn't work for creating a new game. This seems to be caused by a compiler bug. I gotta investigate it & make a new release, but so far I had no time for that.

Re: Sound in MacOS beta still choppy
I'm running it in OS 9.2.1, and now 9.2.2. It still stutters quite badly. When I was still using the Mac SoundBlaster it stuttered, but it stutters without the SBL drivers, so it's not a hardware or driver issue that I can think of. Haven't tried it in classic yet.
I can't wait for the OSX version. Any chance that you can program it to switch monitor resolutions on launch? I find that a game resolution of 320x240, doubled, with a monitor resolution of 640x480 (imagine that) looks fantastic, but I hate manually switching the resolution before and after playing. It's especially bad in OSX, since you have to use the monitors utility to get the resolution that low.
