Ok, so I just downloaded Exult for my WinXP system.
I did a fresh install of black gate and serpent isle off my Ultima Collection CD, made my c:\ultima7 directory and copied the \STATIC\ directories for both games into their respective c:\ultima7\blackgate and c:\ultima7\serpentisle directories.
I then installed Exult (v1.01) to c:\ultima7\Exult and ran the .exe and got the following error:
"WARNING
Could not find the data files for either "The Black Gate" or "Serpent Isle".
Please edit the configuration file and restart Exult"
So I checked the cfg file and all my paths appear to be correct..... What's wrong?
Exult not working.

Fixed it.
Decided not to follow the directions for sub directories on the site here and it worked fine.
