Does anyone know if it's possible to kill blackthorn?
Back when the game was new, I was playing it on my Apple ][. I hex edited all my party with lots of health and with glass swords. Then we fought blackthorn. When someone hit him with the sword he became wounded and managed to retreat. I am just curious if anyone has ever managed to kill him.

No, he cannot be killed. He's invincible like LB, supposedly.

Can't kill him, and believe me, I've tried. Even if you wait until he's
asleep in bed, and attack him while he's asleep, instead of him going
WHACK~!! and it saying 'Murdered!!' it goes WHOOP and 'Missed!'.
Pretty agile if he can dodge a blow in his sleep.

You know, when I first recruited Geoffrey, I got a kick out of the fact that he uses his mace, shield, AND helmet as weapons, picturing him in my head whacking the opponent with his mace, bashing it with his shield, then ramming it with his forehead all in rapid succession. He'd look pretty funny. Man, Geoffrey kicked ass in Ultima 5.... Dupre sucked, though, not very strong (well, at least he's stronger than Shamino) and slow as a snail. Geoffrey would kick his ass.... Then again, he'd kick Gorn's ass, too....
