Exult 1.8 on Windows XP

Hi folks,

i'm from Italy and i need help 'cause i'm having problems running Exult 1.8 Win32 zipped version on my WinXP retrogaming machine (i know it's an obsolete OS but still useful for ORIGINAL retrogoodies such as Beyond Divinity 1.47 Italian starforce protected).

Basically when i launch the .exe i get this error:

that reminds me for a new installation!

What should i do?

I've yet tried to substitute older versions of libglib-2.0-0.dll and libgmodule-2.0-0.dll with those in the folder...

Thanks for your report. I'm looking into it. I think we borked it when we messed with the manifest file.

I'm sorry, the more I looked into it, the worse it gets.
First, the error message is indeed caused by us messing with the manifest file, but then many dlls are not compatible with XP anymore. So even if we fix that and you use only XP compatible dlls, this will not end well.
