Quick question: 2 Exults

Post by dino »

I just wanted to ask... is it safe to have 2 different versions of Exult installed (in different folders, obviously)?

sound doc error

Post by dino »

OK, so after 2 years, I installed the latest version of Exult. This time, I also installed the Roland sound thingy (I hadn't noticed it before).

The documentation (readme_roland.txt) within the zip file of the Serpent Isle SFX reads:
Here are the SFX (Sound Effects) for use with Exult Ultima7 Serpent Isle. These have been recorded directly from a Roland MT-32. This pack has been designed to replace the jmsfxsi.flx (FM sounds) pack and goes in the DATA subdirectory. Just rename the entry under in the exult.cfg file to sqsfxsi.flx.
I think that's supposed to be . It may be misleading for other people.
