Any credits showing at the end? (spoilers)

Hi,

I have the Mac OS X version of Exult 1.2, and the ULTIMA7 directory copied directly from the Ultima Collection CD (for DOS/Windows).

I tossed the STATIC folder from the ULTIMA7 directory into my Exult directory. No digital music. No editing the .cfg file. Monitor was set to 1024x768. Gameplay is superb/magnificent/wonderful/superlative. Incredible.

However, when I reach the end, there aren't any credits. After I blast the Black Gate, I get the end movie (Guardian trying to exit the gate), a sequence where the Guardian laughs at me and threatens Earth, and then a few text screens showing what happens after the story ends.

Then Exult quits without showing the credits. If I relaunch Exult, clicking the "Show Credits" link in the Ultima 7 Black Gate/Forge of Virtue screen, causes Exult to quit again. This is not a "unexpected quit" and there is no operating system error complaint.

I have tried to blast the black gate when in 320x200 mode, without any difference.

Just wondering if this is normal, or is a bug.

Exult 1.2
Standard 1.25GHz 15" PowerBook G4 with 768MB RAM.

Replying to my own post:

The credits do show up when the Digital Music Packs and the Digital Wave Sound Effects files are installed. Man, sounds nicer too. Should have done that in the first place.
