Exult on Android (Native): Crash "Unfortunately Exult has st

Hello guys,

thanks for the great port of a great game to Android. I'm using Exult Android (Natvie) downloaded from ultima7.ultimacodex.com/exult.

Unfortunately when playing the game, sometimes after a while, at random places and moment, Exult crashes. Android generates the message "Unfortunately Exult has crashed".

I am using Transformer Pad tf301. I tried generic android things like hard reboot or delete cache and data. I tried to log the crash, but alogcat didnt give anything.

Tried to look at the forum for an answer, but nothing.

Maybe someone can help me resolve this problem? Its not the game is unplayable, but you must remember to save (very) frequently.

I'm sorry, the android port is unmaintained. Meaning that no one has done a snapshot in a while, not to mention that it was in its early state.

would it be difficult to maintain? it would be nice to have it on a portable device

Right now there is only a patch against Exult SVN. And that patch hasn't been updated for quite some time...

Are you sure these places & moments are random?
- Do you have save files, upload them and be specific, i can try and recreate the bug moments.
- Do you have general knowledge of existing U7 bugs?[to avoid trying to fix the unfixable]
* I have DoSBox on Android with Original U7 files....but tbh i would never play a game on my phone; its a phone.
^^ i can check to see if i can recreate or avoid the issues if you like.
