I spent the last two weeks playing through BG and SI for the FIRST TIME using Exult. I have to say: "Wow!" Exult is even better than the original games. The improved graphics and hotkeys are a boon. (I got about halfway through non-Exult BG when a bug stopped me from entering one of the generators, and I gave up [I should have teleported into the generator but I didn't know U7 had a cheat mode at the time], so thats how I know Exult is better.)

Even though these kind of topics are pointless on message boards I thought you might like to hear from someone who played through these Ultimas for the first time using Exult.

Now, can you do the same for Ultima VIII? (I read the FAQ so don't tell me off for asking this question: I'm just asking... pretty please!) I tried starting it up and playing it but its so ugly compared to Exult! Do you know any programs that make it run with a scaler or at a higher resolution?

PS I did run into some bugs, some of which I cheated past (read my post on the disappearing Filbercio - I just teleported to the love palace, and when I got back Filbercio reappeared) and others of which I used a snapshot to go through (I couldn't spar in the training fields in the release version)
